I've been wathcing the models through the day, and my best chance for the good stuff will take me to SW Kansas. I'm contacting Justin to see if he's willing to travel that far. Theater will be around Medicine Lodge and south to Alva. I'm planning to activate within the next hour or so. STAY TUNED!

We're activating and heading towards Cleaveland, OK. A more central location. It's going to be hit and miss, but after watching this weather pattern all day, I need to get into the field. I'll post more later.

Well, Justin is back in Owasso and I'm back in Tulsa after a successful run.

We ended up starting in Cleveland, where we sat on a major thunderstorm with a rotating wall cloud. We were sure a tornado would drop at any moment, but in a way I'm glad it didn't. If a tornado had touched down, it would have been a massive one.

After a couple hours of tracking that storm, we headed west to find another one. Unfortunately, the cell we'd planned on catching dissipated before we could intercept it.

After a quick breakfast, we decided to call it a night.

Another day tomorrow. The NWS is forecasting a repeat of today, let's see if they're right.

I think the next time Justin and I chase together, we'll use one vehicle. Justin is awesome at navigation, he understands what it takes for a storm to develop and he has the patience necessary when chasing. He'll be a great asset to any chase team.

Okay, time for some rest.

Good night!

Okay..there are severe T-storms going through Tulsa. Wind damage reports and structure fires are being reported. The radar is indicating a bow echo with winds in excess of 60 MPH. It'll be through the area shortly. Expect very strong winds, heavy rain, hail and lightening as it passes through your area.

We remain under a severe thunderstorm watch until 3:00 PM.
