There's still a threat for severe weather tonight and Saturday. Tulsa and much of NE OK have limited risk of severe thunderstorms, dangerous lightening, winds, and hail. 30% chance after 1 am tonight and 40% chance all day tomorrow. Sunday is looking like about a 20% chance, but what the weather pattern does tonight and tomorrow will set the stage for Sunday.

I've been watching the storms in SE Kansas and NE Oklahoma this morning. Much of those areas are under severe thunderstorm warnings right now. The system is moving slowly to the SE. The NWS is still forecasting a limited risk of severe weather through today, about 50% chance. Sunday is shaping up to be the same.

At this point, I'm going to stay in alert mode and watch things as the day heats up.

A little heads up for next week: June 5 and 6 looks promising.

After this first wave of severe thunderstroms moves through Tulsa County, I'll make the decision of where I'll be heading. Right now it looks like far NE Oklahoma will be the target area. But this wave could move things around a bit. NWS is planning to activate spotters later this afternoon.

The system moving through Tulsa now is bringing heavy rains, moderate winds, lightening and some hail. Keep an eye on it!
